State of Mind in association with Adio and Sabre, are proud to present the SOM Music New Zealand tour. This time around, State of Mind will be joined by one of Hungary's finest Drum and Bass exports, Jade. Also getting a piece of the action is the outstanding local producer from Christchurch, Dose. These two drum and bass stars are respected around the world for their tight production and dazzling Dj sets. The nights will also be hosted by one of New Zealand's upcoming vocal talents, MC Woody.
I first met the State of Mind boys when they were first breaking onto the scene back in 2005 - since then they have put out over 20 singles on a variety of labels and have enjoyed success locally and internationally. Recently I got the chance to corner Patrick Hawkins, one half of the duo (Stu Maxwell being the other), and ask him some questions on their upcoming NZ tour and their label. Read on....
