Rumble in the Jungle is a Drum and Bass DJ competition for New Zealanders, showcasing superb mixing talent amongst both established and bedroom DJ’s alike.
Now 8 years deep in the NZ dance music scene, Rumble in the Jungle is set to excite crowds and give up and coming DJs the exposure they deserve once again.
Last year’s winner, Import, finally took top spot after entering 6 previous competitions and has since gone on to release a mix CD with Empathy recordings and supporting international DJs around the country.
Well, the big event this week (ignoring the US election) is the opening of New Zealands newest Drum and Bass record store, the 'Samurai Store'.

While many DnB labels now offer the option of a digital download for their releases, this doesn't help if you possibly still want the vinyl as you need to make two purchases. This is where UK label, World First Records, comes in. They offer a Vinyl-MP3 hybrid, which is effectivally a vinyl record that includes downloadable MP3s.
